My classmates and I recently returned from an international Duke of Edinburgh's Award trip at Kanchanaburi. The journey was packed with stunning scenery and unforgettable experiences from beginning to end. P'Ohm, P'Da, Jane, P'Boy, and P'Noi, the dedicated staff who gave exceptional support and assistance, improved the overall experience with their humour and kindness. Every step of the journey, their incredible knowledge, and true dedication made us feel like valued visitors. Their relentless dedication and friendly manner brought an excellent element to the trip, whether it was setting up camp or organising activities. Our International Award trip was very unique and memorable thanks to P'Ohm, P'Da, Jane, P'Boy, and P'Noi.

We had a great time with Boy and Da. They were very helpful and encouraging throughout the lesson. The river was beautiful and the two instructors were very knowledgeable about paddle boarding and any questions we had about trees, birds, flowers etc. along the river. They also were great at taking pictures :). We learned a lot and are excited to use the techniques they taught us later on.

We have just had another fantastic experience with SUP Hire. We took two families with children and paddle boarded for 3 hours down to the River Kwai Bridge.Our instructors: Jo, Da and Boy, we all wonderful; professional with a friendly attitude that really helped to put the children at ease. They initiated fun games and taught techniques making the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.Thanks to the whole team.Kate

I recently had the pleasure of using SUP Hire as a school trip provider for a group of students, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with their services. From start to finish, their team was incredibly professional and focused on safety, which is always a top priority for any school trip.The equipment provided by SUP Hire was top-notch, and the instructors were knowledgeable and experienced, providing informative and engaging lessons on paddle boarding techniques and safety measures. The staff also took the time to ensure that all students were comfortable and confident on their boards before heading out onto the water, which helped to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone.But perhaps the most impressive aspect of SUP Hire's service was the way in which they tailored their lessons to meet the needs of our group. They provided a range of activities and challenges that were both fun and educational, helping to keep the students engaged throughout the trip. From start to finish, SUP Kanchanaburi was excellent and the team was extremely flexible. Troy is an excellent communicator, and our instructor Joe took us under his wing and got the two of us to not only stand on our board, but also teach us some racing techniques, all within two hours! Neither of us have done any sports with boards before, so the progress we made with Joe's help was surprising. In between pointers and tips, Joe whipped out his phone and snapped some photos and videos so we could stay in the moment without having to worry about taking photos.Overall a core memory of our visit to not only Kanchanaburi, but Thailand as a whole, and the next time we're back we'll look into the cycling and SUP option!By the way, note for Joe which I mentioned in-person as well: if you have a lot of people singing songs during the rescue technique, you should make a playlist on Youtube with all the songs people sing as a memory! The song we sang was 對面的女孩看過來.

Our experience with SUP was fantastic end to end. Troy was very responsive and engaging, with good communication and accommodated all my group requests.We were picked up on time as agreed, and after a short briefing went straight into the water.We did the long route paddle down the river (group of 8) with two of his guides who were both excellent, super friendly, showed us some skills, and took great photos of us all, including obviously one with the bridge as background.The paddle down the river was great, super calm, and a beautiful scenery the whole time. I recommend to start early, we started 8 am and the river was pretty much for ourselves the whole time.I highly recommend this activity with Troy and the team!

An unforgettable adventure. I'm not sure where to start - I did a three day paddle and cycle tour and it's one of the best trips I've ever taken. Troy, Ohm, Da and PK are an amazing team. They've given me memories of a lifetime. This week I paddled and cycled through the most wonderful landscapes, remote parks and waterfalls, hidden temples and luxury float houses, learning about local fauna and flora in a safe and fun way. I can't wait to go back. To those of you considering just an afternoon on the board, change to a few days instead - you won't regret it. Troy and the team made all the arrangements from amazing meals to spectacular accommodation. Thank you guys for all your efforts and I look forward to the next one.

During a weekend visit to Kanchanaburi, I booked both the 22km Intermediate cycle ride and a 1.5 hour Stand-up Paddle Boarding lesson with SUP Hire Thailand Co., and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Regarding the cycle, the equipment provided was of a high quality, the route was stunning, and all safety guidelines were covered in sufficient detail prior to commencing the cycle. Troy, my guide, was friendly, clear, and his knowledge of the local flora and fauna, geography, and culture was excellent. Regarding the SUP lesson, the instructor was supportive, patient, and inspired confidence such that any nervousness quickly disappeared and I was standing and paddling in no time, all the while under the careful watch of the instructor. These activities were the highlight of my trip, and both cycling and paddle boarding through SUP Hire offer an excellent way to explore the beauty of Kanchanaburi, while learning new skills in a safe environment - highly recommended!

We booked a trip SUP with Troy for our family of 4 (kids aged 7 and 10) alongside another family. It was the most amazing experience. Both our girls were able to do it independently with expert tuition and encouragement from Troy. We felt so safe and relaxed and really enjoyed the games. Troy worked his SUP magic on our family of four, especially my 10-year old daughter. I had asked Troy if she could ride along with me but he convinced us to let her ride solo and learn new skills. He is a really exceptional instructor and takes a cheerful, encouraging approach to his students. She absolutely loved it. We felt totally safe out on the water with him, every risk had been accounted for. And it was great fun, the games, the challenges and the bird and monitor lizard spotting. All for an incredibly reasonable price. We can’t wait to return for Troy to guide us down a more challenging stretch of the river.

SUPs are ideal for a meditative yet challenging work out. We pride ourselves on offering a variety of choices to help make your time on the water safe, affordable and fun. Don’t worry, you will be able to stand on the board, providing you are fit to do so.

Any sized group; all ages; duration 1.5 hours – 4 days! We are flexible here at SUPKanchanaburi and can fit the experience to suit your needs.

From our location on the River Kwai we aim to provide the following fun and safe activities, which take you onto various sections of the river (you can book any of our lessons quickly and easily):

– Taster sessions for people who have never tried stand up paddleboarding and are beginners in the sport

– Early morning / late afternoon / sunset paddle, of approximately 3 hour duration, for participants who want a slightly more challenging experience

– Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award supported ‘adventurous journeys’ – expeditions of up to 250km length along the River Kwai Yai or Kwai Noi

– Bespoke individual or group experiences according to the individual requirements and needs of our customers

– SUP board hire (without instructor present) for people who are confident and expert paddlers

– Bicycle hire and accompanied journeys in Kanchanaburi.

We also have a large fleet of bicycles. These are well-maintained 9-Speed or 6-Speed hybrid bikes. Good quality bikes, so you can tour the local area and beyond. Take the train from Bangkok and pick up your bike from our base, ready to go!
